A free and open-source program called Freeplane helps people think critically, share information, and complete tasks at home, at work, or in the classroom.
The info contained in mind charts can be analyzed using the software.
Critical Functions Include:
- Take note of using freely positioned, unconnected nodes( post-it’s’s ). creating a hierarchy of concepts( nodes ) with lines( edges ) connecting them. Nodes are categorized using metadata( attributes ) and style types( system, user-defined, and level styles ). grouping nodes with accolade( summary node ) and visual containers( clouds )
- Tasking with a calender and reminders, password protection for the entire map and individual nodes using Des encryption, user-friendly interface with line and dialog editors, object-oriented main menu, context menu options, multi-language support, spell checker, properties panel, drag-and-drop functionality, sunny keys, options for batch execution, publishing, sharing, and selectable preferences.

Freeplane can be used directly or portablely from removable store, such as a Usb drive, and can pass on any operating system with the most recent Java remake installed.
