A program called Universal Extractor will extract files from any kind of archive, including simple zip files, installation programs like Wise or Nsis, and even Windows Installer (. msi ) packages.

This system is neither meant to be used for general-purpose archiving. Winrar, 7-zoo, etc. will never be replaced by it. You can use it to elicit files from almost any archive, regardless of the source, compression technique, etc. This project’s’s original goal was to develop a simple, practical method for extracting files from assembly services like Inno Setup or Windows Installer offers without having to repeatedly invoke the Command Line.
